Hello again! I meant to have a post for today about the bathroom I just dressed up for spring, but like so many of our neighbors here in upstate New York, we had some water issues to deal with. How about a yummy chicken recipe instead?
Slow Cooker 4 Ingredient BBQ Chicken
- 3 to 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts *
- 12-18 0z bottled barbecue sauce- I love Sweet Baby Ray’s original*
- 1/2 c Italian dressing- I use Kraft Zesty Italian
- 2-3 Tbs. A1 sauce or other steak sauce*
*Use the larger amounts for 4 or more chicken breasts
It goes in the slow cooker like this, with the barbecue sauce, dressing and A1 sauce whisked together and poured over the top. Cook it on low for six hours or so.
After six hours or so, it will be so tender that you will be able to shred it with two forks.
To serve, I sliced some sandwich rolls, buttered them up, and toasted them in the oven on the broil setting. Then I piled on the barbecue chicken and shredded cheese.
May I suggest offering up some of this delish cole slaw to go with it?
Your family is going to love this chicken. You can use your slow cooker to make barbecue now, when it’s still cold outside, and later, when the summer heat makes it just too uncomfortable to stand over the grill. All the taste, no hassle!
I’m so glad you stopped by. I hope you’ll come back soon!
