Winter Updates to the Dining Area

I don’t like to go outside in the cold. That means inside our home, things have to be clean and spacious but still cozy so we don’t feel confined.

I made a few changes today in our dining area.

I cleared off the top of the storage cabinet and arranged some of my favorite decor items. Nothing too crowded or overdone.

I made the pompoms with some yarn gifted to me by my mother in law. They’re not perfect, but they’re pretty and add a touch of winter coziness to the display.

The lantern holds a tall red pillar candle and will give us some soft light in the evening when the house quiets down. I put a little faux pine in a burlap sack in the pitcher for more winter ambiance.

Speaking of imperfect but pretty, one of my turquoise mason jars has a crack. Who cares? Not me. Looks great where it is.

Next up, I’m rearranging in the kitchen area and trying something new. Come back later and check it out!
