Bible Verse Chalkboard Sign

I was cleaning the kitchen the other day and came across the board I had prepped and painted for this sign quite a while ago. I used chalkboard paint as a base and traced the outline of some chipboard letters for most of the words and hand wrote the script words. All I really had left to do was color in the letters with chalk and put a hanger on the back. It’s finally finished! Proverbs 3:5 is a great verse to be reminded of every day.

Proverbs 3:5 art

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Not one of us can explain all of the things, good or bad, that have come our way, and none of us know what’s coming in our future. But with faith comes peace. God is leading the way, and we don’t have to have all the answers. We just have to live in the way he has instructed us and he will be by our sides in every moment.

Proverbs 3:5 artI hung the sign right in the kitchen. Not only do I spend a lot of time there, but most of our family and friends enter our home from the garage right into the kitchen, so it greets everyone as they come in.

Proverbs 3:5 artNow that the kids are back in school, I have a lot of projects going on all at once to fill my time. I am coming to terms with the fact that there are no more little ones in my house full time and starting to see all the things I can do in my home and my community with that free time. It sure is a change!

Stop back soon to see the Lane cedar lined chest that I thrifted and made over with my husband’s help. It’s a beauty!
