One More Step Toward and Office Nook

My husband did the majority of the work stripping down my great grandmother’s desk so we could refinish it. Some of the gouges and dents in the wood were so deep that we couldn’t sand them out, but I consider them character additions. The refinishing is almost done, so today he took me out to pick up the chair I chose.

Pardon the grainy photo. This room faces the wooded part of the property and does not get a lot of natural light.

I love this chair- the cream color, the tufted back and the pretty legs are a nice contrast to the dark finish and sturdy style of the desk.

And because cozy is always a requirement for me, he also picked up the ivory and red throw for me.

The kids are going back to school on Monday and I am so excited to spend the week putting the finishing touches on this work space. I think having a comfortable and organized office area is really going to help me keep up with the household management this year.

Thanks for popping in. See you soon!
