DIY Christmas Ornaments

I really wanted to make a change this year and have a little bit of a woodsy theme to our decor. This could quite possibly be our last Christmas in the Adirondacks, and I wanted to bring a little bit of this region into our decorating.

The Branford tree was new this year. We wanted something tall and slim, since we bring a LOT of people into the living room on Christmas morning. I saw this tree set up as a display in the store, and couldn’t believe the quality for the price. The staff there told me it sells out each and every time they get a delivery, but I hurried home and ordered one for free site to store delivery. I’m glad I did.

I made these reindeer ornaments last year using printable burlap sheets from the craft department at Walmart. I believe each package holds three sheets, so they’re a great value. I rolled the edges in glue and dipped them in glitter for a little sparkle in the border, but distressing them with ink would be nice too.

I heart these fuzzy little darlings that I found at the Dollar Tree. Apparently I am the only one though. My husband is not a fan, but he loves me and tolerates my whims.

The sparkly owls came from Walmart. They’re cute too, but I love the fuzzy guys.

The red birds are a carryover from last year. I can’t remember where they came from. They have super long tails.

What do you think? Are you a fan of rustic glam? How do you feel about fuzzy owls?
